Tomorrow will mark a new chapter in my life. Starting tomorrow I'm going to register for my doctorate degree here at UUM. So this mean I have to slow down my RC activities to concentrate on my study. I'm not going to stop my passion towards RC but I have to put low my throttle down for a while. 3 years to be exact.
So wish me luck.

Extra!!! Extra!!!
Guest what..new flat 3d foamies in town. Extra 330 from 3dbatix. This time I cut the plane on a PVC board to make a template. The reason why I made this template so that in the future I can reproduce this model much-much faster by cutting depron on this template.
Here is the template I made for extra330..
Heck I can cut 10 extra every day with this PVC template....hehehe
I've tested the template accuracy well it's good. I can cut depron in less than 1 hour on a single depron board. Previously I use two depron board for my Diablo so this time it's save time and material.
So here is my still unfinished extra330. Just left with electronics and decals..
I love building depron base 3d plane. Yesterday for the first time I can perform inverted and roll with plane which I don't dare to do it before.
So far with the current electronic setup of my plane I can go up until 12 minutes in the air with light 3d. I can perform prop hang with just half throttle.
Here's my complete setup:
Motor: Tower pro 2409 cost me $11
Esc: 30A Tower Pro cost me $13.79
Servo: 3 pieces HXT900 9g / 1.6kg / .12sec Micro Servo cost me $3.49 x 3 = $10.47
RX: Futaba 6ch RX : you can replace with esky rx which cost you around $12
Lipo: 2200 20c EMAX cost me $29
Depron cost $3
Cutting knife $0.6
Tape and decals: $5.4
So total cost $85.26 equal to MYR284
Of course for me my total cost would be around $40 eq to MYR130.

Diablo second take..
A much clearer video..taken during weekly RC modeller gathering at peremba mini stadium Alor Setar..
Again..I really like flying my diablo. It's a rewarding experience to fly something that you built with your own hand..
Enjoy..

Zagi
Video taken during my zagi intermission flying session..:D enjoy
I like zagi because it's simple..it's tough..you can drop it like a bomb and it still can fly and I had so much fun flying my zagi..

3D Diablo Foamies maiden today
Maiden my diablo today and all I can say that this flat foamies rock..although this is my first 3d flat foamies but I can fly it very easy.
Anyway this is my maiden video shot by my wife..sorry for the blurred video..forgot to turn off the macro shot of my video cam..

One day project..Diablo 3D flat fomies
This is my first flat foamies 3D plane..everything in one day. From printing the plan to cutting the depron and putting in all the electronic..first ever..quite challenging experience..
For those who're interested to build this foamies can download the plan for free from 3dbatix

Slow progressing SU27
Very slow progress indeed with su27 assembly. A lot of lesson learn from EDF plane assembly. It's quite challenging since this is my first DF.
1. Fit..everything must nicely fit. GWS EDF64 motor mount slightly bigger than my BL motor. This caused the motor play and cannot center in the DF. I've tried many ways to center the motor in the motor mount but no luck.
Solution: I never thought that this thing exist until I went to Alan Bunkyo. He had suggested to use this:
A spacer that makes my motor fit nicely into the DF motor mount. What a relieved.
2. Impeller shaft. This is major headache. The stock shaft that comes with the GWS EDF is 2mm size. But my BL shaft size is 2.3. Slightly bigger. I thought at first just drill the shaft to make it fit. It's a mistake my drilling caused the shaft hole to misalign from the center. This is bad. Never drill by your self when precise drilling is needed.
Solution: Buy new impeller shaft from hobbycity.
I've done with aileron servo assembly.
That's all for now. I'm waiting for the new shaft to arrive from Hong Kong. Maybe at the end of this year since.
Anyway happy new year...from slumberjerrc

Digital scale
I just bought a digital scale from www.lelong.com.my online purchased yesterday and received today afternoon..what a service!!! If you're interested to buy one here is the link kemen.
anyway I bought this digital scale because it is much2 accurate than my old analog scale. It's crucial to have an accurate scale for foamies flyer so that you know what weight you put on your foam plane.
I'm in the middle of building my su-27 so on the scale is my 2 BL 4200kv inrunner motors adn 2 30A ESC weighted at 202g..
