After changing to direct mount setup and new motor install, it fly much2 better. It easier to control and perform 3D. I have this video taken during hari raya funfly but quite short due to limited time and the field is dead wet from last night heavy shower.
I recommend not to use the stock motor and change it to direct mount. The following is my setup:
Motor: 1000kv Apex 450 BL motor
Prop: 11x6 --> I'm going to change to 12x6 later on
ESC: 30A SSEsc
Servo: 3 x Hxt900
Rx: Assan 6Ch 2.4G
The data:
Full throttle static test shows that only 170W of power require and 17 A withdrawn with 11x7. So
I recon I can use 12x6 prop for better 3D stability.
For the flight test I just perform some high altitude prop hang, and some basic flight test trimming and everything went well. It fly straight and stable. 3D is much more predictable. In conclusion I like this plane and this is my next step of flying full fuse 3D plane.
Next step would be Acromaster and EF Extra..my target would be 50cc Extra..huhu..

12x6 belum lg..jumaat ni kot..ikut tu 11x6 prop ni pun motor tak panas langsung, bateri, esc semua tak panas..wattage pun die tarik dlm 170W je max..amp pun dlm 17A jer..motor ni leh pegi sampai 240W max..so banyak lagi leh pegi tu..masuk 12x6 baru best..
bro..saya punya geared 1:8 5400kv bl motor..prop saiz ape yg paling sesuai utk prop hang and 3d...stabil dan speed laju..skrg saya pakai 11x4.7 slow sgt, pastu senang stall.trotle bawah 60% je terus stall..esc dynam 40amp.batteri 1300mah.ape pendapat bro tentang prop??
tu stok motor tu..prop die recomended bukanke 12x6..samalah masalahnya mula2 pakai stok motor throttle less je dr 50% die nak stall terus..so skrang dah mod pakai 1000kv motor dgn prop 11x6..cukup stabil dan dah tak stall dah..eh kalau ade ym add la terus ym..slumberjer..senang nak sembang
